The paternity of Tanzanian singer Diamond Platniumz daughter Latifah Dangote, has been long debated since her birth. Three men were cited as the possible father of the child, Diamond, a Tanzanian business tycoon, Zari's former husband ( Ivan Ssemwanga)
After much pressure from fans and family, over speculations that he might not be the baby daddy, Diamondz gave in to conduct a DNA test
The test which was don in a South African hospital, revealed the singer to be the biological father of Latifah whom he had with divorced girlfriend Zari Hassan. Diamond was alleged to have burst into tears,
(but what we are not so sure of is if they were actually tears of joy or...)
Speaking to citizen TV, Platinumz said
“People talked a lot, created a lot of lies. I was not worried nonetheless. All through, I knew the baby is mine; though just to make myself happier and more peaceful, I decided to conduct a DNA test on Tifah. Tifah is my daughter, completely! I am extremely overjoyed by the results (DNA). That’s why I am now freer, happier and having a good time. When you happen to visit my office, you will notice I have hung framed photos of Tifah everywhere. I am not worried at all. I can now courageously face my critics.
Not long after the birth of Tifah, the younger brother of Zari’s ex-husband had confronted Platnumz on the paternity of the baby, claiming his brother was the real father. Even Platnumz mum had felt her son was taking care of another man’s daughter.
Diamond Platnumz and Zari Hassan had Latifah Dangote on August 6, 2015. Platnumz has pampered Baby Tifah since birth. He famously refused to unveil her face until September 20, 2015 . The then two-month-old was made a brand ambassador of a Tanzanian bank, NMB bank.
We rejoice with the family most especially baby Latifah.
